In partnership with the Chilean Government, AZA melted over 80,000 seized illegal weapons and transformed them into Green Steel to build the first permanent psychosocial care space inside a school in Maipú, one of Santiago's districts most affected by gun violence, where children and educators now receive mental health counseling from trained professionals. Healing Domes converted the tools of violence into therapeutic infrastructure designed for children in high risk environments. Students step inside a 9m² structure forged from the very metal that once threatened their lives and experience it as a space of protection and clinical care. The material inversion is not symbolic; it is functional and inhabited daily. This initiative transformed an invisible industrial action into a permanent cultural landmark, fostering community ownership and positioning AZA as an active leader in territorial resilience. Effectiveness was proven by replacing a culture of alert with a sanctuary of calm, meeting the objective of providing proactive mental health access through permanent, high performance design.
